Reflecting on #Juneteenth, watch this epic interview of NASA Astronaut Victor Glover by Vanessa Wyche, director of NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
It's been a relatively short 159 years since the Emancipation Proclamation of June 19th, 1865, and yet, our progress is astounding. However, we still have a ways to go!
Today, we see individuals like us, our Astronauts at NASA, leading the charge in exploration and discovery for our nation's future. Juneteenth, a pivotal moment in our nation's history, is a beacon of hope. It demonstrates what is possible when people are free and equal to pursue their dreams of liberty and happiness. Together, we can continue to build on this progress and make our country the beacon of light, the beacon President Reagan envisioned, shining on the hill for others to emulate.
